The Adam Kaufman Leadership Award 

The Adam Kaufman Leadership Award for 2018 has been awarded to senior, Brian O'Neal. A  mechanical engineering major, O'Neal had never played rugby before his freshman year at Virginia Tech. Before arriving in Blacksburg O'Neal was a talented multi-sport athlete (soccer, wrestling, lacrosse and track) at Mount Hebron High School in Maryland.   He joined the team as freshman playing center, fly-half, and scrum-half. As well as being an integral part of the fifteens team, Brian has been a member of the Sevens squad for the past three years and played with the team that won the plate competition at the Collegiate Rugby Championships in 2017. He previously held a club officer position before being elected president for the 2018/19 season.
